Grimes

Claire Elise Boucher (bu:'SeI/boo-SHAY) born on 17 March 1988. Her stage name is Grimes. Her first album is described as stretching from "lo-fi R&B" to futuristic dance-pop. It has also included influences from electronic music, hip hop, as well as rock. She frequently incorporates science fiction and feminist themes throughout her songs. There have been five albums. Growing up in Vancouver (later making the move from there to Montreal), Grimes began releasing music independently in the late 2000s, releasing two albums, Geidi Primes as well as Halfaxa which were released in 2010, through Arbutus Records. Later, she joined 4AD and became a household name following the release of their third studio album Visions which came out in the year 2012. Visions includes the singles "Genesis" as well as "Oblivion" and was awarded the Canadian music industry's Juno Award for Electronic Album of the year. Art Angels, her fourth studio album, came out in the year 2015. Many publications considered it one of the greatest albums. In the year 2020, she released Miss Anthropocene (her fifth studio album). Beyond music, Grimes had a voice character in the 2020 online action-role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 and is a judge on the music competition game series Alter Ego. Grimes Grimes Grimes
